I hacked my Vita a few months ago just to play this game and might have found the reason for it not being available.There are game breaking bugs when running the game on Vita. On Arkdain Ruins (Chapter 5) the game crashes when you try to open the first door, there is another dungeon later with a similar problem.I loaded the same umd image and savefile into PPSSPP and it ran fine, thus I believe it's Vita's internal PSP emulator problem.Maybe Square Enix stumbled upon the same bug, though the game wasn't worth all the work to patch it and gave up.

At the beginning of the game, you're told the world is going to end in the final Viking apocalypse (called Ragnarok) on a specific date, and you need to go down to earth to recruit warriors who will fight for Asgard in the coming end times.In the game, you moved around the world map by flying like an angel, and in-game your character was invisible to mortal people. The whole game took place on a calendar (so every movement took time, meaning you could miss events etc.

Every system, every mechanic tried to innovate in some way; some of them well, some of them poorly, but it created a really interesting game that you had to play quite a lot to fully grasp.If you ever get to play it, I recommend it - though I don't know if the sequels etc. Were as good as the first.
